When you shop with us, you are also helping us to benefit our charity partners and vendors!  Although we are a for-profit business and are not owned by or associated with any charity, we do buy a large portion of our merchandise from local and national charities that fundraise through household items/clothing donation programs.  By purchasing merchandise from our charity partners and vendors, we are able to provide them with a critical revenue stream with which to fund their charitable programs and operating costs.  For the past several decades, Unique Thrift Stores has provided important funding for the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation (“MOPH”) and the Vietnam Veterans of America (“VVA”).

For charities that may not have a clothing/household items donation program but are interested in fundraising and recycling, check out our Fundraise & Recycle Clothes Now! division.  This division provides clothing collection boxes for schools, PTAs, churches, synagogues, municipalities and charities to place throughout the region to collect donations of clothes, shoes and the like.  To learn more about our Fundraise & Recycle Clothes Now! division and to see a list of the charities with whom we are partnered, please click here. 
 
A WIN-WIN SITUATION
We are proud of the fact that when Unique Thrift Stores purchases merchandise from our charity partners and vendors, we are providing them with needed funding to support their programs.  In turn, they are supplying us with bulk volumes of used merchandise which we sort and cull through to find those items our customers are interested in and which meet our quality and condition standards.  Through our investments in processing, retailing and merchandising, we can give a second life to many of these items and keep them out of our landfills.  That’s Unique!
