While we are a for-profit business, we buy a large portion of our merchandise from local and national non-profit organizations that raise funds through household items/clothing donation programs. Our non-profit vendors rely on the sale of these donated items to provide a consistent revenue stream to fund their much-needed programs and services. For the past several decades, Unique Thrift Stores has been a bulk purchaser of used merchandise from the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation (“MOPH”) and the Vietnam Veterans of America (“VVA”). We also purchase clothing and household goods collected from other local and national charities.
